Terms of Service
Last updated: July 1, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of SendSignal, a creator newsletter platform operated by SendSignal Inc. By creating an account, publishing a newsletter, subscribing as a reader, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
SendSignal helps creators launch, write, design, publish, and monetize newsletters. The service may use artificial intelligence and automated research to draft newsletter issues, subject lines, summaries, layouts, and related content.
2. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address and keep your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for reviewing content before publishing or sending it. You must be at least 13 years old to use SendSignal.
3. Creator Pricing, Fair Use, and Paid Subscriptions
SendSignal is free for creators, subject to fair-use limits that protect platform reliability and abuse prevention. We may adjust fair-use limits with reasonable notice.
Creators may sell paid reader subscriptions through Stripe Connect where the feature is available. SendSignal charges 0% platform fee on a creator's first 100 active paid subscribers; standard card-processing costs still apply. After the first 100 active paid subscribers, SendSignal charges a flat 10% all-in platform fee, with processing included, so the creator keeps 90% of subscription revenue.
Reader subscription checkout, billing, tax handling where applicable, and refunds are processed by Stripe. Refunds, disputes, cancellations, failed payments, and chargebacks are governed by Stripe's terms and the creator's own subscriber policies.
4. Creator Content, Advertising, and Reader Relationships
Creators are responsible for the newsletters they publish, the accuracy of any claims, required disclosures, and compliance with laws that apply to their audience, industry, and jurisdiction. SendSignal may remove content or suspend sending when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms, law, platform safety requirements, or email deliverability standards.
SendSignal is ad-supported. We may include one clearly-labeled advertisement in emails sent through free publications. Ad inventory, placement, selection, and any resulting revenue belong to SendSignal; creators may not obscure, alter, or remove the advertisement or its labeling. Issues sent exclusively to a creator's paying (premium) subscribers do not carry platform advertisements.
5. AI-Generated Content
AI-generated drafts may contain inaccuracies, omissions, outdated information, or unsupported claims. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all content before publishing or sending it. SendSignal content is not legal, financial, medical, tax, or other professional advice.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use SendSignal to:
- Send spam, phishing, deceptive, or unlawful communications.
- Infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights.
- Publish illegal, harmful, defamatory, harassing, or abusive content.
- Misrepresent sponsor relationships, paid endorsements, or reader subscription terms.
- Attempt to disrupt, scrape, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
7. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of your original input, newsletter content, subscriber relationships, and brand materials. You grant SendSignal a limited license to process, host, render, send, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service. SendSignal's software, design, brand, and platform technology remain the property of SendSignal Inc.
8. Termination
You may stop using SendSignal at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms or created risk for readers, creators, Stripe, email providers, or SendSignal. We may retain records where required by law, fraud prevention, billing, or legitimate operational needs.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
SendSignal is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, SendSignal Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, lost-profit, lost-revenue, lost-data, or goodwill damages. Our total liability for claims related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid SendSignal in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the updated version and changing the last-updated date. Continued use of SendSignal after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by Delaware law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
